To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Jimi Hendrix's US debut at the legendary Monterey Pop Festival (1967-2007), and coinciding with the release of the DVD Jimmy Hendrix Live at Monterey (The Definitive Edition) released Monday 29th October, featuring the brand new documentary film 'American Landing', a major theatrical simulcast featuring Hendrix's legendary Monterey footage will be screened at 7:45pm on Thursday October 25th at the London Hippodrome in Leicester Square.

The screening will be followed by an hour-long live concert performed by an all-star band featuring guitarist Gary Moore, and surviving Jimi Hendrix Experience members, Mitch Mitchell (drums) and Billy Cox (the bassist who also played in the Band of Gypsys), plus Primal Scream's Darrin Mooney (drums) and Dave Bronze (guitar).

This exclusive, historic, and one-time only theatrical music film event and tribute concert to one of rock'n'roll's greatest electric guitarists, will receive a simultaneous pan-European HD broadcast to over 180 cinema screens, including selected VUE cinemas around the UK.

The launch event will be held at London Hippodrome Leicester Square on Thursday October 25th at 7:45pm, and will be screened and broadcast to cinema screens in hi-definition and 5.1 Surround Sound. UK cinema goers can see this unique one night only event in selected VUE cinemas.

Eddie Kramer, Hendrix' original recording engineer responsible for all of Jimi's seminal studio albums, will handle the 5.1 Surround Sound mix at the cinecast at the Hippodrome.
