“American Landing: Jimi Hendrix Live At Monterey” will receive its World Premiere at the closing night of a mini-film festival in Los Angeles - presented by the prestigious film organization American Cinematheque.

The premiere takes place at the landmark Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday October 9th. It is the final night of a 5-night mini-fest in the latest edition of the Cinematheque's well-established Mods & Rockers Film Festival - noted for presenting rock-themed movies since 1999.

The 8th annual festival took place in July and included several films featuring Hendrix. This new mini-fest runs October 5-9 and - in a nod to Hendrix - has been titled "Mods & Rockers Film Festival (Slight Return!)

The salute also includes the World Theatrical Premiere of the short film “Hendrix And The Blues”– featuring Hendrix, Buddy Guy, BB King and many more.

Special guests at the event will be Hendrix recording engineer Eddie Kramer and Monterey Festival producer Lou Adler. The event coincides with the release of “American Landing: Jimi Hendrix Live At Monterey” on DVD distributed by Universal Music Group.

“American Landing: Jimi Hendrix Live At Monterey” traces Hendrix’s remarkable transformation from obscurity to his triumphant return at Monterey.
