The Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation has been awarded a $75,000 grant through 4Culture’s Cultural Facilities Program to be used for the ongoing construction work at Jimi Hendrix Park.
This highly competitive grant process saw two expert peer panels reviewing more than $15 million in funding requests from fellow non-profit organizations throughout King County. Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation is one of 42 selected organizations to have been awarded funding through this program this year.
“What an incredible honor to be one of 42 organizations singled out by 4Culture for the work we’re doing to build community and celebrate culture,” explained Janie L. Hendrix, Founder of The Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation. “We’re especially humbled by the fact that they recognize the important role of the Jimi Hendrix Park in Seattle. And we’re thankful that our work can move forward because of this generous grant!”
