The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Live In Cologne, the twelfth release in the Dagger Records official bootleg series, documents this spirited, January 13, 1969 performance at the Sporthalle in Cologne, Germany.

Hendrix kicked off the proceedings with a scalding “Come On (Let the Good Times Roll)” from Electric Ladyland.

Janie L. Hendrix joined hosts Jon Faine on radio station 774 ABC Melbourne’s ‘Conversation Hour’ earlier today to talk about the myth and legacy of Jimi Hendrix.

Jimi’s sister Janie Hendrix shared some insights from her family life, and reflected on why his music still touches a chord with so many people and why it has endured.

Experience Hendrix LLC and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release a restored and newly expanded edition of Jimi Plays Berkeley, on Blu-ray and DVD, on Tuesday, July 10.
